The Last Carrot

Here is something I attempt to try differently. I have been inspired by one of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous paintings of Jesus Christ, "The Last Supper."

Yet it had given me an idea to make something similar or even any versions of The Last Supper and I thought to myself what would it be like if there was a "The Last Supper" Picture involving Looney Tunes. Turns out pretty well even for a similar picture of The Last Supper.

Characters featured from left to right is Sylvester Cat, Tweety Bird, Wile E. Coyote, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Lola Bunny, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew, Tina Russo, Petunia Pig, Yosemite Sam and Granny.

This is a spy-based picture of the Looney Tune Lola Bunny who is on a spy mission to take out... let's say the world's most dangerous terrorist organization of a certain direction. She is willing to do anything in her power to stop the conspiracies once and for all, however things could get even worse if she ever hears "Doll" as an insult towards herself!

Lola Bunny for Space Jam 2

Hello everyone here on DeviantART and elsewhere, thank you for tuning in at the tiniest minutiae. I hope everyone is doing excellent like ever, same goes for myself. It's been last year since the rumors of the possible sequel to the 1996 Looney Tune-Sports film Space Jam have spread out all over in the media and gotten viral meanwhile. It was supposed to star NBA all-stars for this generation, notably Lebron James was gonna be the main character of the entire sequel, and it will also star Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Yao Ming etc. and they were rumored to become the new Monstars or a completely different set of villains. It was believed to have gone into production as what we've heard that Warner Bros announced a sequel, hiring the Ebersol Brothers to write, [roduce and possibly direct. Things begun to get more exciting until there were reports indicating that the entire thing of Space Jam 2 actually happening was just a rumor. However, when Lebron James was praised for his acting in the movie Trainwreck, Lebron signed a deal for Warner Bros. for Digital media, comics, movies and television and it is likely that Space Jam 2 will be going into production soon.

Now if it actually does happen, it is very likely that Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes gang are gonna appear as the supporting characters, but what about the other Looney Tune? The one that is strong and self-reliant and seductive in her behavior? That character is the one and only, Lola Bunny. Lola Bunny was supposed to be another female Looney Tune to join the crew because the people had believed the company "needed" another female Looney Tune character since they're not that many girl characters in the Looney Tunes. The way how Lola Bunny executed in Space Jam is how we would obviously expect, she didn't have all of the screen time she needed to fully develop her character since it's her debut, there are no exceptions for her to be funny, interesting, regulative etc. It's one of the main causes that Lola Bunny got criticized for. People, and especially the fans of the Looney Tunes had mixed feelings for Lola Bunny on the movie. People who were interested in Lola Bunny praised for her character, despite her very short screen time, they way how she's shown herself to be independent and self-reliant; not being liked to be called "doll" and having to crush a monstar actually gives out impact to sportswomen to always act strong, no matter how big and tough boys and girls are, anything they would talk trash to you and treat you like a fool are not gonna get away with it and the bravery of the victim will end up striking back the perpetrator. Another notable inspiration to Lola Bunny was women playing sports (commonly Basketball) was another thing they got into. I remember a good friend of mine who is on her 10th year of playing basketball, she always hated basketball all because people talk trash to you like it's nothing, but after watching Lola Bunny on Space Jam and the way her character was used, actually made her getting into basketball, and trust me, if anybody else trash talked about her playing basketball, she will tear you up, haha. However, the main thing she's badly inspired of is the numerous fetish art of Lola Bunny. Even Chuck Jones predicted that she will be a "nightmare of perverted artists" this would happen to her. While I am a huge fan of Lola Bunny, both original and The Looney Tunes Show version, I can only say it's not a big deal if they make about a hundred pictures of her being naked or any other graphical fetish related pictures she's dragged into. It especially goes to everybody who's extremely sensitive over that stuff. I'm not trying to defend them at all, because I was too unhinged about all of the "artists" making pictures of her butt, or making pictures of her naked etc. Then I am aware that surprisingly enough, she's definitely not the only character to end up like this, people have done the same to Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew, and even The Looney Tunes Show version of Lola. Anything that we make or being put out there is always gonna catch the artist's eye to make a fetish picture relating to the object we put out in public. It's like if I put out my original Character Sean the Squirrel out in public, he's gonna end up like that too, but it's not gonna surprise me anymore. Now for the people who harshly ate her alive was that they claim that she "had no personality" or "she was just there to be a love interest for Bugs Bunny". Which I'm afraid to tell those people this is that it's not exactly true. Sure thing she's there to be a girlfriend of Bugs Bunny, but most commonly every main character in any series is bound to have a love character in the future or when it's made for the first time. I know the "Main character gets a love interest" is probably too cliche now, only if it really works. Now her character though is the main complaint, it's not true that she has no personality, I know it's probably hard to believe by a lot of you, but surprisingly enough that even though she was only shown in 4 minuets of the movie, she did show her reliance and independence when she outsmarted Bugs after he called her doll, same thing with the Monstar who called her it, she just leaped on him and kicked his face flat and made the dunk like it was nothing. What about when she was helpless that a monstar was getting ready to smash her and Bugs had o save her? Well, news flash, it's a character flaw. She's a "Damsel in distress", kind of like how Daphne from Scooby-Doo! would always end up stuck at the situation to where she had to have Shaggy or Fred to come save her. Even she may be strong and reliant to her behavior, no matter how tough she is, she will always need a hand from anybody at some point. Another obvious trait is her femme fatale character, there's no explanation to that, instead she was really trying to go for a character that is aimed towards the character Minerva Mink from Animaniacs have. She's another character who is a femme fatale, but can be a little quirky, and Lola Bunny only had a couple of quirky moments in the movie, one is the ending of the movie where Bugs Bunny kissed her, Lola howled in a hilarity gait, may not be much though, and another where she made that strange happy expression when Bill Murray showed up to play for the team. The major complaint about Lola Bunny is that she wasn't funny, because Looney Tunes have to be funny, but unfortunately, she's not really supposed to be funny, and that don't mean she can't be a Looney Tune. People tend to forget that lot of the Looney Tune characters were really not that hilarious or interesting to begin with. Bugs Bunny's debut actually gave the viewers disbelief the character was no good because of the little time he had in the short, the way he appeared more often made his character developed more through out the years. Tasmanian Devil only was funny for about three seconds, there was really nothing special or interesting Taz is with the destruction personality he had, but the way he's made more appearances with the same exact uninteresting character made people become appreciated with it and is considered a Looney Tune. There are other honorable mentions of other Looney Tune characters with bland personalities and not good enough to be a Looney Tune such as Miss Prissy, Penelope Pussycat, Porky Pig, Melissa Duck, etc. Those are all Looney Tune characters that had personalities that are not funny enough to be a Looney Tune, but when they appeared more, they became Looney Tunes regards what kind of character they had. Personally, that's what Looney Tunes were pretty much were to me. Is that mostly Looney Tune characters are wacky, boring, unfunny, uninteresting character traits or not even goofy in the first place. The more they show that character, the bigger Looney Tune they become.

I know there's probably a lot of you are saying "Oh Lola is already respected when she was on The Looney Tunes Show" or "There's no need for Space Jam Lola because the Lola from the show is praised by everybody". That's not exactly the case. The point is Classic Lola needs to be shown in the media more often so that her character can develop more to where she can become a Looney Tune. If Lola was still the Lola in Space Jam, because of the small time she had the people who say that she has no character will still remain the same thing and so changes to that will be made, maybe they could have Lola as the main role so that she's always there and her character will shine through. Now her voice actress, will it be Kristen Wiig? Will it be Rachel Ramras? Will it be Grey Delisle? Or will it be her original voice actress Kath Soucie? My likely answer is Kath Soucie. The way I see how Kath Soucie's voice fits for Lola is that, unlike Rachel Ramras and Kristen Wiig, she can come up a different voice for a character, and the common point about voicing a cartoon character is you have to sound different from yourself, because if it's just a character being voiced by a voice that sounds exactly like yourself, it can look like that you've put no effort into making yourself develop a voice for the character and Kath Soucie actually did put her soul into making a voice for Lola Bunny. Lastly is if it's not Space Jam Lola returning for 2, would it be The Looney Tunes Show Lola? Unfortunately while I do like both versions, it'll be unlikely for her to return since the movie Looney Tunes: Rabbit's Run , the Lola with the TLTS persona begun to get repetitive to viewers.

So, you think Space Jam Lola deserves a much bigger and second chance? My answer is a big, colossal, yes. Yes. Yes. Yes and more Yes. Prove to everyone that she has a character.... or will have a character.

Thank you very much everyone and I hope all of you have a great day! I'll upload more art in the meantime.

A short animation parody video of Lola Bunny from the Looney Tunes acting out in a scene from Futurama's Bender's Big Score where the witness points out at "This boy" which is Cubert Farnsworth. He says in reply that it's his name and not to wear it out.

The main thing that made me get this idea is the voice actress for Cubert Farnsworth is the same one who voiced Lola Bunny in Space Jam and other appearances.

The Looney Tunes Show - A JC Thornton Review

                                                             The Looney Tunes Show

Hello everybody! I'm happy to see all of my followers and other people here are doing pretty okay, for me like always been doing excellent and having fun with drawing and animation material, etc.

So I recently saw the final episode of the show... again, on Cartoon Network. (Reason I said "again" is because I already saw SuperRabbit on Youtube around 2013.) and since it had already ended it's run after by seeing every single episode of the show through watching all of Season 1 and Season 2 on live cable, and SuperRabbit on Youtube I will finally get this out of my system after holding it in for 2 in a half years to express how this show went out!

As again I watched episodes on S1 and S2, it had episodes that were VERY entertaining and had episodes that were VERY boring, and as for being a huge fan of the Looney Tunes myself, I will have no problem explaining my final thoughts about The Looney Tunes Show,

and in my honest opinion about the show overall.... I don't like it, it may have episodes that were entertaining but still not very good... and it isn't bad either.

I'll be glad to explain my reasons why I don't like it very well and why it's not bad, so personally, I'll be giving out the :bulletgreen:Good and I'll be giving out the :bulletyellow: Neutral and I'll be giving out the :bulletred: Bad.

So to make this a good start, I'll be giving out the

:bulletgreen:GOOD

The Episode Duration

I like how each episode it's about 30 minutes long because most shows in todays generation have a minimum of 30 minutes to longer and luckily it's not just a very short 7 minute cartoon of some random Looney Tune-styled sitcom format doing their own things for about that long, otherwise it wouldn't capture enough character development and the show would REALLY be bad.
So for this type of duration of The Looney Tunes Show, it makes sense and it works.

Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner segments

Obviously the Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner shorts are the most greatest part you will ever watch on the show, the action sequences were epic, the plot is very good and it's just really spot on and almost very like the original shorts we saw back then until now.

Lola Bunny's New Personality

Now of course we knew Lola Bunny from the 1996 hit movie Space Jam, she was a tough independent token character who couldn't take junk from nobody else, hates being called "Doll" and all of the dudes viewing her as a sexual object.... until The Looney Tunes Show, she was an insane overly attached girlfriend of Bugs Bunny who is very talkative and annoying most of the time and a bit of a drama queen.

...I know a lot of you people who liked her in Space Jam didn't even like her new personality or was not liking it when it was coming out, but I got to be honest with you all, I kind of like her new character they gave her in the show. Because the obvious point is when there is a character in the Looney Tunes world, they have to be funny, they have to get hurt, they have to be foolish, they have to be... well Looney. And I think her new character works for the Looney Tunes, I mean I know it may not work in every single type of short or show or movie but for her character I think it works.

I will tell the truth here, she was really an annoying character at first, I didn't even liked her character either, but I liked it more in Season 2 how she was not that much overly annoying like Season 1.
However for those who did like her original tough character, she did have some tough moments, take it for the episode It's a handbag where Lola portrays as Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider series, I gotta say, That was cool! She is arguably the best part of the show... afterwards.

However if there is anything I will defend Space Jam Lola Bunny, there's a couple I will say.

She may be bland in the movie, but she can become a Looney Tune as well. I mean take it for instance if she had any future appearances of shorts, shows, movies etc that she had the exact personality and modesty she had in the show, she will be interesting as well, I mean if The Looney Tunes Show version of Lola pulled it off, then maybe Space Jam Lola with the exact character and clothing can pull it off too.

Another thing that confuses me is that people hate the original Lola due to her bunny boobies, because even though she's supposed to be a humanoid female rabbit (anthropomorphic) she has something that relates to the female gentile which I will have to agree to the fact it is wrong for her to have them, but honestly if people are just gonna hate on her because of that, well looks like I'm gonna have to bring up these characters we knew in the past who obviously has the same thing Lola Bunny has: Minerva Mink, Cheetara, Colleen from Road Rovers, Gadget Hackwrench, Amy Rose, Melissa Duck, Bugs portraying as a female rabbit, Cleocatra from Tom & Jerry kids. For the characters I have mentioned, I hate them all because they are anthropomorphic animals with boobs. Confusing, isn't it?

Sorry if I'm making this review a bit awkward, so moving on.

The Voice Cast

Obviously the voice cast such as Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, Jim Cummings, Rob Paulsen, Jess Harnell, June Foray, Grey DeLisle, Maurice LaMarche, Joe Alaskey. The voices were spot on and it's always a pleasure hearing them again they were really perfect with the characters they voice in the past until today and it's awesome.

However what bothers me is the voice cast featuring celebrity guest stars, I will explain about it in the

:bulletyellow:NEUTRAL

The Celebrity voice cast

I honestly think Fred Armisen don't have a good voice for Speedy since he has a more squeakier voice than now, it's a bit out of place.
Kristen Wiig for Lola I am used to, but I was really expecting one of my favorite voice actresses Kath Soucie to voice Lola Bunny for this show. I mean don't get me wrong Kristen Wiig is funny, I liked her in SNL and other movies but for the show, I'm a bit more "meh" on it. I believe is the fact that how Kristen Wiig voiced Lola exactly like... Kristen Wiig, she was just being herself and it kind of got a bit confusing for me because voice acting in general, you have to understand a voice for the "character" not just voice the character acting like yourself. Lola's voice was really supposed to be like how Kath Soucie voiced her, just a cute high pitched voice, but not by just sounding sexy because that was part of her character in Space Jam but I'm talking about the actual voice in general.

In my honest opinion I feel Kristen Wiig is funnier in the movies/live action roles.

However it would be pretty awesome if one day, Kath Soucie would return her role as Lola Bunny and be her character like in the show. I think that would be better and more interesting.

Character Changes

There are some I like and don't like.

Bugs Bunny's character I... well don't really like.
the fact how he is a sardonic, dry wit being who is always sarcastic about everything. To me personally just seeing him before as a "Looney", hilariously happy who always bugs and tricks his foes and how the fact he only got upset when bad guys crossed his line, you know: "In case you realize, this means war" until this show, it's insulting to Bugs' original character especially to other fans like myself.

Daffy Duck's character is hilarious and almost identical to his original personality because of the fact how he is just about being stupid and such and wasn't that greedy like before, which the fact is Daffy has always been stupid since the original cartoons and for this show he is stupid still fits him very well today and it works. However the thing I don't like about it is the part where he says Bugs' catchphrase now: "What's up, doc?".
Looks like Daffy Duck is the new Bugs Bunny people!

Taz's character is one fitting word: Embarrassing
His character makes absolutely no sense at all, a dog? Couldn't they use Charlie Dog from the Looney Tunes short "Little Orphan Airedale" instead? That would be a lot more useful than making a wild crazed Tasmanian Devil to be their domesticated dog.

Witch Hazel is now Witch Lezah, yeah I know, bad name.
Who is a sassy-serious African-American woman which is really unfortunate. Well it's obvious June Foray's Witch Hazel is way better and fine.

Yosemite Sam who was aggressive and despises Rabbits so much, is the annoying neighbor of Bugs and Daffy. I don't have much to say about this character instead it doesn't really work but the fact how his voice nails it so well, it's pretty definite.

Gossamer who was a horrifyingly monster and rival of Bugs Bunny is now Witch Hazel's kid, yeah, "kid", who needed babysitting by characters like Daffy Duck.
This is another character that don't make any sense, for Gossamer. I mean a monster like that don't look anything like a kid instead I still see him as a crazed monster he was before. It would've been a lot more better if they used a different kid character to go with it but for Gossamer AS a kid, no thanks.

Overall the characters that they got correct and worked is Granny, Porky Pig, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Pepe Le Pew, Tweety, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner and Sylvester.
And last and not least, Tina Russo, she's interesting, but normal to be a "Looney Tune".

The Episodes

Without any doubt a lot of those episodes are hits and misses. While some episodes are very good, well written, actual plots, funny jokes, solid laughs and identical, The Looney Tunes Show is awesome to watch now and then, but when the episodes are good but bad, not written well, unexplainable plots, unfunny jokes, boredom and unexciting, The Looney Tunes Show is really freaking terrible and unwatchable.
As I said before that there were entertaining episodes that worked but when there are a lot more episodes I watch through out, most of the episodes are unfitting and bland. Which I don't blame it how people like the show and people hate the show with a passion.

The Music videos

The music videos are... well funny sometime but a lot of them are pretty terrible and boring, but the good thing is that they usually play those on an episode when it's needed to.

The problem about the music is the fact how it's played out, the lyrics sometime don't match and rhyme, making an unwanted character involved such as Elmer Fudd singing about Grilled Cheese, Yosemite Sam free-styling, and Marvin The Martian singing about he's a Martian is really ridiculous.
Shame about it is most of the songs are poorly scored.

Now since I have expressed my neutral feelings against the show, now I will go for the

:bulletred:BAD

The Format of the show

Now I'm not trying to be a purist or some random dude who don't like change, personally I think change is very beneficial depending what it is. Like how I said Lola's personality and the episode duration change is needed, and of course the Racism change is needed.

For this type of format for the "Looney Tunes" didn't quite work, honestly. It's kind of like a Seinfeld-like format that consists of the Looney Tunes living in a suburban neighborhood, which really don't fit for them.
I mean the Looney Tunes are really all about comedic slapstick, being "Looney ", goofy, funny, random, and even featuring stars such as Bugs Bunny, daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, and more to be into really interesting segments and with all of the original humor they have is really golden that brought something to the world so many inspirations, so many entertainment, and plenty of the other stuff.

Plenty of people say this format was made so the Looney Tunes can "Meet a new generation", as an excuse. Let me tell you something though, The Looney Tunes are timeless characters. Looney Tunes have been around for over seventy years. You can watch them at any time period and they'll feel like they were made yesterday. The original Looney Tunes can still stay the same when they meet new generations anytime.
Like for instance, Tom and Jerry met plenty of generations and they have always been the same since the original cartoons, shamefully they are still the highest grossing characters all because the thing is nothing changed about them. Hopefully soon or later than can pull it off with the Looney Tunes.

However for this show's format for the Looney Tunes to meet this generation don't really work, because I feel this show is nothing more than a fading life now that's just going to be forgotten when the next Looney Tunes reboot comes and I think the show would've been a lot more better if they had just used different characters instead of the Looney Tunes. I mean take it for Tiny Toon Adventures for example: It was an excellent cartoon because the characters are indeed Looney Tunes related, but they are characters in a different generation, a different format, and that type of thing worked perfectly, and if they had used Looney Tunes such as Bugs Bunny and the rest of the gang Teenagers who go to school together, it will turn out to be a hit and miss and it wouldn't work, and that is the perfect analogy of the show.

The Animation/Character Designs

Around 2010 Canadian animator Jessica Borutski was hired to redesign the Looney Tunes in her own style and the designs look totally different, from the designs we saw in the original cartoon.
How it ended is the Looney Tunes fan base wasn't a huge fan of it and literally blew her up, though she tries to give an excuse that new designs keep characters alive, and I'll have to say: How does that keep characters alive? I mean it's really a shame how her artwork is beautiful and her Foolish Kingdom shorts are entertaining but for her redesigning the Looney Tunes for an actual series is beyond risky. Though they still used those designs anyways through season 1 until when season 2 they mixed the original looks to the Borustski looks.

The thing is, this is what bothers me the most.
A lot of the character designs look very cheesy for an actual Looney Tunes series. Such as Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, well so many characters to mention have switched color palettes with big heads and big feet, and this is what threw me off of seeing most of the recent episodes. I would've approve Jessica's designs if they were a lot like the original designs so in that way it'd work out just fine.

I'll be honest to say, her character designs for the Looney Tunes are good enough for a fan made cartoon but for an actual Looney Tunes series, I don't think so.
Point being, Bugs and the gang has been redesigned plenty of times, they don't need to be redesigned more.

With no surprise though, she's been given a second chance at Wabbit so hopefully she'll do better.

Well that's all of my final thoughts about The Looney Tunes Show so overall, This show isn't "awesome", this show isn't "terrible", this show is clearly a neutral show to watch.
So I'm gonna give this show a :star::star::star: out of 5.
It may not be for everyone while some may enjoy, some may hate it, it boasts a several of laughs but since the "Looney Tunes" are almost normal, the title isn't really self-explanatory, while this show is far better than it should've been, this show fails to offer an improvement over the original cartoon.

The only things the show had related to the original series and a fresh take was the names of the characters (except for Witch Lezah), the personalities of Daffy Duck and Lola Bunny (and the other characters they got right as I mentioned before), lack of Racism, the episode duration and the Wile E. Coyote/Roadrunner cartoons themselves.

So now that I have expressed my final feelings of the show, I will give you my Top 5 episodes I enjoyed.

1. Customer Service
2. The DMV
3. It's a Handbag
4. To Bowl or Not to Bowl
5. Members Only

So anyway this is my review and last thoughts of the Looney Tunes Show before I look forward to Wabbit, I know a lot of you will agree, I know a lot of you will disagree, well I count on it, I expect it and I'm looking forward to it.

This picture is a reference to the very first episode of The Looney Tunes Show

I hope all of you will have a good day and take care, I'll be sure to upload more art sooner or later.
